Mayor David Green and Grady Smithey return from recusing themselves. Councilmember Paul Ford (District 3, seated, pictured second from right), pointed out that they had received significant campaign contributions during their 2008 re-election campaigns from Paradigm Traffic Systems, a company that the city wanted to award $184,020. It was a groundbreaking point that Mr. Ford was able to win, as he relentlessly follows the trail of taxpayermoney going to friends of the council majority. The item was still approved by a 3 to 2 vote, by the 3 members of council that consistently vote in lock-step with the Mayor and Mr. Smithey.
